You must make an appointment with the administrative assistant in the Criminal Investigations Unit prior to bringing all the required documents. To make arrangements or if you have other questions call 708.795.2115.
If you or an employer are in need of your criminal history, you must request for Access and Review. The Berwyn Police Department booking officers will process a “fingerprinting card” digitally with Live Scan that will be sent to the Illinois State Police who in turn will send your criminal history transcript or, if no criminal history is found, a written statement to the address provided by you. Please note that the results may take up to 45 days or possibly longer and all inquiries must go directly to the State Police as they are the ones processing the criminal history.
